History of Bathypelagic Midnight

Bathypelagic Midnight is a Titan area beneath the methane seas, between depths of about 1,000 and 3,500 metres, within the New Pacific Arcology. Its tunnels and structures are submerged in crushing methane, with one large open area at bearable pressure. Xivu Arath's Horde, along with Fallen, Hive and Taken forces, hold the area. It connects to Mesopelagic Twilight, Abyssopelagic Abyss and Wrathborn Sink, and it is reached privately through a Deep Dive.

Bathypelagic Midnight is the setting of the Barotrauma mission, the fifth mission of Season of the Deep, which is accessed through Into the Depths. The mission lies deep beneath Kraken Mare, where the Guardian must break through enemy lines, defeat the Taken defenses and purify Egregore coral to free Ahsa from the ritual.
