Kraken Mare

Overview

Kraken Mare is a methane sea on Titan, the moon of Saturn, and the largest of Titan's methane seas. During the Golden Age, several Arcologies were built there; they were abandoned after the Collapse.

The seafloor and surface are now covered in decaying human structures, occupied by the Fallen, encrusted with Hive nests, and covered in Taken Blight. Xivu Arath's forces overran the sea when Titan returned to real space after the Arrival of the Black Fleet.

Activities

The sea is reached through Salvage, with the Salvage Rig as its connecting area. The Vanguard began Salvage operations here to recover Golden Age technology for their diving expeditions, fighting powerful Hive and Taken champions on the seafloor near a crashed Hive Warship. Deep Dives also descend into the sea, reaching depths of about 5,000 meters.
