Altered Element

Overview

Altered Element is a currency introduced in Season of Arrivals. It is used at the Prismatic Recaster to focus Umbral Engrams toward specific loot pools.

How to obtain

The main source was the Prismatic Recaster's daily bounties: one source lists four per day at 25 each, another lists 50 per bounty. Other listed sources include Season Pass rewards, seasonal challenges and Triumphs, and drops from Strikes, Crucible and Gambit matches. A guaranteed reward was listed for Nightfall: The Ordeal.

Usage

Focusing at the Recaster only unlocked at season pass rank 32. Larger quantities allowed more specific focusing. It was a seasonal currency and may not be obtainable now.

Note: despite common mix-ups, it is from Season of Arrivals, not Season of the Witch.
