Year 3

Overview

Year 3 is the Destiny 2 armor content from the game's third year. Its Combat Style socket has been replaced with a Legacy socket. The Legacy socket accepts the Combat Style mods (Charged with Light, Elemental Well and Warmind Cell) as well as Nightmare Hunt, Last Wish and Garden of Salvation mods.

Legacy socket

The Legacy socket works as a unified slot for mod families from earlier seasons. Armor from Seasons 8 through 11 had its seasonal socket swapped for this single Legacy socket when the Combat Style and Legacy changes arrived. Last Wish and Garden of Salvation armor obtained before Season of the Hunt has no dedicated raid socket but can use those raids' mods in the Legacy socket.
