History of Xivu Arath

Xivu Arath, the God of War (born Xi Ro), is one of the three founding Hive gods, alongside her siblings Oryx and Savathûn. Where her siblings favoured secrets and cunning, she declared her court would be wherever war was found, and she took the Knight morph when she joined their pact with the Worm Gods. She is the youngest sibling and seeks to become the mightiest warrior in the universe.

She is sister to both Oryx and Savathûn, and her relationship with them soured over time. Her bond with Savathûn broke when Savathûn turned to the Light, and Xivu Arath hunted her sister and turned Savathûn's former followers into her own servants.

Through Cryptoliths, her High Celebrant corrupted the Hive, Fallen and Cabal into Wrathborn as she spread her Horde across the galaxy, after conquering the Cabal homeworld of Torobatl.

Story

Xivu Arath has been a major Hive threat since Oryx and Savathûn were defeated, working through proxies and rituals. In the Season of the Witch Eris Morn claimed a Hive god's throne, which banished Xivu Arath from her Throne World and stripped her of godhood, though her armies remain at large. She later serves the Witness in The Final Shape and goes into hiding after the Witness falls.
