History of Xenophage

Xenophage is a Solar Exotic Machine Gun with an anti-Unstoppable profile. Its intrinsic perk, Pyrotoxin Rounds, fires high-powered explosive ammunition. Lore-wise it is the first known weapon to use a Guardian's soul: that of Omar Agah, a Titan transformed by Hive experimentation, visible as a crystal during reload.

Acquisition

• Complete "The Journey" Exotic Quest, released with Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, which includes puzzle solving and a run of the Pit of Heresy Dungeon.

Catalyst

Added in June 2026, the catalyst is a random drop from the Pit of Heresy dungeon and adds the Chain Reaction and Rampage perks. Complete the catalyst's in-game target-defeat objective to unlock it.
