Vanguard Research Engram

The Vanguard Research Engram is a Legendary Faction Engram from the Vanguard Research faction. Decrypting it yields one armor piece for your class: a Warlock Ego Talon IV piece or the Ego Talon Bond, a Titan Noble Constant Type 2 piece or the Noble Constant Mark, or a Hunter Frumious piece. It also yields one of 5 Legendary Shards, a faction-agnostic Legendary Weapon, or a faction-agnostic Legendary Armor. The decrypted items' stats scale to the player's highest light level, with a soft cap of 330.

Acquisition

The engram is listed as a reward for raising reputation with Vanguard Research. Older guides from around 2017 describe earning it by turning Vanguard Research tokens in to Ikora Rey, and that method may have changed since.
