The Runner (Heroic)

Overview

The Runner (Heroic) is the heroic variant of The Runner, the Infinite Forest adventure on Mercury. It is the same mission with extra modifiers, and it is unlocked through Heroic Adventures, which were introduced with Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris. Its objectives, enemies and bosses are described on The Runner: the Cabal simulation carrying encrypted data, the Vex, Cabal and Fallen in the forest, and the bosses Daemon and Valus Traud, Proxy.

Type and launch

The Runner is an Adventure, and its heroic version is claimed one at a time from Brother Vance. Heroic Adventures open after you have completed the campaign and the normal Mercury adventures, and you need the required Power level.

Power and modifiers

The heroic Mercury adventures are recommended at Power 300, and the normal version of The Runner is listed at 250. Each day two modifiers apply to every Heroic Adventure, and both change at the daily rollover. The first comes from Nightfall Strikes (Momentum, Attrition or Prism). The second is exclusive to Heroic Adventures and can be De-Powered, Elite Soldier, Elementalist, Risk and Reward, Brawler, Justice from Above or From the Shadows.

Resets and completions

Heroic Adventures reset on Mondays and Thursdays at daily rollover. Up to three Heroic Adventures can be completed per day, and a completed one is unavailable until the next reset.
