Infinite Forest

Overview

The Infinite Forest is a planet-sized Vex simulation engine inside Mercury's hollowed-out core, reached through the Infinite Gate in the Fields of Glass. It generates countless possible past, present and future realities, which the Vex use to plan their actions in the real timeline.

History

Dendron, Root Mind built the generation algorithm, and Panoptes, Infinite Mind managed and interpreted the simulations to guide Vex strategy. In Curse of Osiris, Osiris sent Sagira out of the Forest because Panoptes could detect her Light. The Guardian entered the Forest, learned of a dark future, and defeated Panoptes with Osiris's help. Osiris and Sagira then returned to the Forest.
