The Lament Catalyst

Overview

The Lament Catalyst records the 400 weapon final blows needed to masterwork The Lament, an Exotic Solar heavy Sword. It belongs to the Exotic catalyst collection.

Acquisition

Obtain the catalyst through Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, or Exotic Orders payouts in the Seasonal Hub. Owning the sword and acquiring its catalyst are separate steps.

How to complete

Equip The Lament after obtaining its catalyst and defeat 400 targets with the sword. Progress accumulates across activities; the objective does not require a particular destination or difficulty. Choose encounters with many weak combatants and collect heavy ammunition between waves. Tireless Blade refunds ammunition on every other powered sword kill, helping extend each reserve. Reserve revved attacks and heavy attacks for tougher targets rather than spending them on every weak enemy.

Reward

Apply the completed catalyst to The Lament to add Burning Ambition. Sustained weapon damage applies Scorch, and continued damage to a scorched target applies additional stacks.
