The Dawning

Overview

The Dawning is the introductory Legendary quest of the annual Dawning holiday event. It starts with Eva Levante in the Tower and teaches the baking loop with Eva's Holiday Oven. It is only available while the event runs and takes about 30 to 60 minutes. It is listed under Season 19 and was reused in Season 23; step lists differ by year.

Walkthrough

1. Use Eva's Holiday Oven (Inventory under Accessories, the Event Home, or the Quests tab) to bake a gift for Zavala. Gjallardoodles use ingredients Eva gives you, such as Ether Cane and Delicious Explosion.
2. Deliver the Gjallardoodles to Zavala in the Tower Courtyard.
3. Return to Eva Levante.
4. Purchase an upgrade from Eva Levante (the Merrymaker upgrade, costing Dawning Spirit).
5. Complete a match of the Dawning Snowball Fight activity (newer version).
6. Claim your first Event Rank reward (older versions: claim an Event Card challenge).
7. Return to Eva Levante in the Tower.

Rewards

• Eva's Holiday Oven upgrade, Dawning Spirit, Event Tickets and crafting materials such as Essence of Dawning. Rewards such as Stay Frosty or an emblem vary by year.
• Completing the first gift opens further delivery quests.

• Eva calls the Dawning a time when "the City joins together to celebrate and give thanks".
