Boon of Friendship

Boon of Friendship is a rare consumable from The Dawning event. Using one gives the player a buff that lasts until a reward is earned from a playlist activity (Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit).

When the reward pays out, every member of the fireteam, including matchmade players, receives Dawning Spirit and at least one A Gift in Return. Each player can have only one Boon active at a time. Active Boons from several players increase the rewards.

Acquisition

Eva Levante gives one Boon each day after the player finishes the introductory quest and buys the Merrymaker upgrade. The daily Boon is once per account per day, not per character.
