History of Tessellation Catalyst

Overview

Tessellation Catalyst requires defeating 400 targets with Tessellation, an Exotic Fusion Rifle whose damage type matches the equipped grenade.

Acquisition

The catalyst was originally supplied to The Final Shape Annual Pass owners after completing the campaign, through the Special Deliveries Terminal in the Tower or Ghost in the Pale Heart. Obtain the catalyst before working on its upgrade objective.

How to complete

Equip Tessellation and use the weapon to defeat 400 targets. Enemy groups in Lost Sectors or Altars of Sorrow provide repeated opportunities for weapon final blows. Consuming grenade energy with the weapon's special reload powers its explosive shot. The completed catalyst enhances that explosion with an elemental debuff matching the weapon: Blind for Arc, Scorch for Solar, Weaken for Void, Slow for Stasis and Sever for Strand.
