Techeun Ylaia

Overview

Ylaia is an Awoken Techeun of the Reef who holds the rank of Techeun Adept. She was one of thirteen Awoken chosen for Techeun training after the Battle of Saturn, an effort to rebuild the order and help Mara Sov return to the Dreaming City. Ylaia was the only one of the thirteen who could not connect with the Ley Lines at first.

Story

Ylaia first appears in Season of the Lost (2021), when Petra Venj promoted her to Adept despite her inexperience. During the ritual to separate Savathûn from her Worm, Ylaia helped Austyn break the crystal holding the Witch Queen, but Savathûn escaped by swapping places with Osiris. In Season of the Seraph (2022), Ylaia scouted Hive activity on the borders of Sol's Ascendant and found a large Hive army gathering under the Black Terrace.
