Studying Darkness

Studying Darkness requires destroying all nine Entropic Shards on Europa and is required for Splintered. Use Salvation's Grip to break the shards; simply approaching them does not count.

Obtain Salvation's Grip after the Beyond Light campaign, then visit these locations. The shards do not have to be collected in this order.

| Location | Where to look |

|---|---|

| Asterion Abyss | Climb the large Vex structure and search its northern top edge. |

| Concealed Void | Look above the boss room's open central space. |

| Cadmus Ridge | Search the snowbanks near the entrance to Bray Exoscience. |

| Eventide Ruins | Look inside broken metal wreckage near the building containing Bunker E15. |

| Bunker E15 | Look near the ceiling beside the large glass wall in the main room. |

| Riis-Reborn Approach | Beyond the elevator, look beneath the stairs. |

| Kell's Rising | At the end of the area, climb the right-hand building and search beneath its stairs. |

| Technocrat's Iron | Travel to the final factory boss arena and search there. |

| Creation | Beyond the broken glass floor in the large chamber, look upward from the lower platform. |

Shoot each shard with Salvation's Grip. The ninth shard in Creation became accessible later than the original eight in November 2020.

Completing the triumph advances the Splintered requirements and awards a miniature Crux of Darkness display for the Exo Stranger's hut.

Claiming the shard milestones unlocks chapters of Regarding Stasis. The final milestone also awards a Stasis Shard display item for the campsite.
