History of Silken Codex

Revision 30263 by archivist at 2026-10-10 12:29:21

The Silken Codex is a consumable item, originally from Destiny, described as a tome of cramped glyphs bound in silk of unknown origin that is "always of interest" to the Cryptarch. Hive units drop it at random.

Acquisition

  • Drops: Randomly from Hive enemies.
  • Cryptarch: A Cryptarch pays 200 Glimmer per codex. With a Black Wax Idol active, Glimmer gains rise by 7.5%, a net of 215 Glimmer per codex.
  • Reef Cryptarchy: The Reef Cryptarchy at 10 Hygiea also buys Silken Codex.

See Axiomatic Bead, House Banner and Network Key for the other items Cryptarchs buy at the same price.
