Shadow Novice

Shadow Novice is a buff in the Equilibrium dungeon. It is earned by collecting Gathering Shadow from Darkness pools, which are picked up with a Sparrow in the tunnels and dropped by defeated Nameless Apprentices in the first encounter. Once the meter is full the buff lasts 45 seconds, and collecting more pools refreshes it.

While active, the player can swap their grenade for a Shadow Power attack, used to break Nameless Apprentice shields. In the tunnels, having Shadow Novice active negates the Creeping Shadows debuff.
