Nameless Apprentice

Overview

The Nameless Apprentices are Ultra-ranked Cabal Gladiators of the Barant Imperium. They first appeared in Destiny 2: Renegades, and they appear in the first and final encounters of the Equilibrium dungeon.

An Apprentice has an immunity shield that blocks all incoming damage. Break it by building up Gathering Shadow, which gives a 45-second buff that is extended by collecting more Shadow pools. Then use your Shadow grenade while an Apprentice winds up its charge attack, Hate of the Nameless, or use Shadow Power during the charge. The shield breaks, and the Apprentice can be killed. Defeating them spawns Behemoths, which must also be cleared.

Equilibrium

In the first encounter, the Apprentices are lured to detonate beside exposed batteries near red shield walls. This opens sealed rooms that hold the Shadow pools.

In the final encounter, the Apprentices worship Dredgen Sere and are destroyed when the encounter begins. New ones spawn from behind Sere's Blight tablet and use the same shield mechanics. Each Apprentice killed makes a physical Blight vulnerable, and five kills are needed to destroy all the Blights.
