Sand Eaters

The Sand Eaters are a Cabal legion, identifiable by their white, green and orange armor. They are the largest and most commonly encountered legion on Mars before the Red Legion, and they fight on the front lines against the Vex. They are commanded by Bracus Tho'ourg and Bracus Tha'aurn and lack a Primus. A lone Guardian killed Tho'ourg at the Exclusion Zone and Tha'aurn at the Buried City. They hold Meridian Bay on Mars.

The Sand Eaters lost about 58% of their troops across Mars and Phobos while fighting the Taken in the Taken War. The Dust Giants are their veteran subdivision. In Destiny 2, the Sand Eaters are only mentioned in Season of the Chosen and Renegades, and do not appear in person.
