History of Saladin Forge

Overview

Lord Saladin Forge is a human Titan Guardian and one of the last Iron Lords. He was found and raised by his Ghost, Isirah, in Old Russia during the Dark Age, when Warlords ruled most of humanity. He befriended Radegast, Jolder and Perun, Risen who refused to follow the Warlords, and the four formed the Iron Lords to end Warlord rule. The Iron Lords' campaign helped establish the Last City and the City Age.

The Iron Lords later discovered SIVA, a self-replicating nanotechnology from the Golden Age, which turned on them. Most of the Iron Lords died, and Saladin was one of only two survivors. He spent centuries guarding the Plaguelands. He founded the Iron Banner as a memorial to the fallen Iron Lords and a way to train new Guardians.

Destiny 2

• Beyond Light: He opposed the Guardian's use of Stasis, though he hoped to see them ascend.
• Season of the Chosen: Zavala assigned him to lead a task force against the Imperial Cabal under Empress Caiatl. The campaign ended with an armistice after the Guardian defeated Caiatl's champion, Ignovun.
• Season of the Risen: After Crow's reckless act caused a Cabal death, Saladin offered his life in Crow's place. Caiatl spared him and made him a Bracus on her War Council. He later defeated Guhrn Or'ohk in ritual combat and was promoted to Valus.
• Season of the Seraph: His Iron War Beasts guarded the Iron Temple while Felspring's remains were recovered to help repair Rasputin.
• The Final Shape: He joined the Coalition's final assault on the Witness.
