Precarious Balance

Overview

Precarious Balance is the bridge encounter challenge in Crota's End, worth 10 triumph score. Complete the encounter while crossing the constructed bridge only when neither construction plate is occupied. The record rewards Essence of the Oversoul.

How to complete

Prepare each crossing through the encounter's normal Chalice of Light and Swordbearer mechanics. Position the crossing player at the permanent starting section of the bridge while the team forms it. Call for the construction-plate players on both sides to step off before the runner touches the section that forms.

Cross promptly as the bridge deforms, using jumps and sword movement as needed. Re-form it for the next crossing, then repeat the plate-off call. A player stepping onto the constructed bridge while either construction plate is occupied fails the challenge. Finish the remaining Gatekeepers and the encounter after all required crossings.
