Posterity (triumph)

Overview

Posterity is a triumph associated with the Posterity hand cannon. The objective requires achieving Pattern progress of 5/5. Completing the associated Deepsight Resonance extractions on this weapon will unlock its Pattern. The triumph awards no score or rewards.

How to complete

To complete this triumph, the player must acquire the Posterity weapon. This Legendary Arc Hand Cannon can be obtained from the Disarmament encounter within the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Specifically, it has a chance to drop from the Disarmament Spoils chest, which becomes accessible after defeating Taniks, the Abomination.

Once acquired, the weapon must be equipped with Deepsight Resonance. The player must then complete the required number of Deepsight Resonance extractions on the weapon to fill the Pattern progress objective. The weapon features the Precision Frame trait, which provides a more predictably vertical recoil pattern with high accuracy. While the curated roll includes perks such as Polygonal Rifling, Extended Mag, Genesis, and One For All, these are not required for the triumph completion, as the weapon is eligible for randomized perks including Tactical Mag, Rapid Hit, and Rampage. The weapon first appeared in the Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion.
