History of Phry'zhia

Phry'zhia, the Insatiable is an Ultra-rank Hive Ogre and the first boss of the Grasp of Avarice Dungeon, which launched in December 2021 during Season of the Lost with the Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack.

Encounter

The fight repeats a cycle: defeat Vandals to get Scorch Cannons, fire them at generators above the doors to spawn enemies, kill those enemies to gain the "Burdened by Riches" debuff, then deposit it at the central crystal to remove Phry'zhia's shield. Once the text says it has succumbed to temptation, damage it. Staying mobile matters because it fires eye lasers and thralls ambush campers; doors closing on you inside a room is instant death. Guides differ in detail (one describes a 40-second damage window and a rage phase at low health).

Later appearances

A Lucent Brood variant appears as a boss of the Resonant Destruction public event and briefly in The Witch Queen campaign.
