Pathfinder

Overview

Pathfinder is a progression board introduced with Destiny 2: The Final Shape (June 4, 2024) that merges bounties, patrol objectives and weekly vendor challenges into one system opened from the Director.

How it works

A board has up to 20 objectives in five tiers; you complete one objective per tier from left to right to form a path, then claim the reward and reset the board for Glimmer. It is repeatable, but rewards diminish after repeated resets in a week. Progress is tracked automatically with no opt-in needed.

Types

• Rituals Pathfinder: objectives from Vanguard Ops (strikes, Nightfalls, Onslaught) and Crucible; rewards include enhancement prisms, Bright Dust and XP, best for the first three completions each week.
• Destination Pathfinder: location-based objectives and Field Assignments, tracked on the map, rewarding Exotic weapons, powerful engrams and vendor reputation.
