History of Nessus Black Armory Smith

Overview

Nessus Black Armory Smith is a Triumph in Destiny 2 that belongs to the Black Armory seal. It requires forging all four Black Armory weapon types in the Nessus forges.

How to complete

Forging needs the weapon frames from Ada-1, and the seal asks for all seven forge weapons: Hammerhead, Ringing Nail, Stryker's Sure-Hand, Tatara Gaze, Kindled Orchid, Spiteful Fang and Blast Furnace.

1. Unlock the forges by finishing Ada-1's quest in the Tower Annex on the EDZ. It involves getting a weapon frame, looting a Weapon Core from a stolen Black Armory crate, obtaining Compound Ether from the Fallen, and collecting Radiant Seeds from powerful enemies to make a Radiant Matrix.
2. Run a forge: complete two timed rounds, then reach the boss in the third. During the rounds, collect 20 Radiant Batteries from glowing enemies and throw them into the Forge Ignition. Each forge has a recommended Power Level of 610, and its final boss is 625.
3. Forge the weapon: after completing a forge, use the Ada-1 weapon frames to create the legendary weapon.

Forges rotate, so only one is available per day. Ada-1's bounties ask you to ignite a specific forge, and doing so with the bounty in hand drops a unique emblem at each of the four forges. Forging a weapon can also drop an armor piece from Ada-1's Forge Polymer, but the drop is random.
