Midnight Diver

Overview

Midnight Diver is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from Season of the Deep. It is earned by completing the mission Mayday, Mayday and awards 20 Triumph Score.

How to complete

Mayday, Mayday is the third mission of Season of the Deep. It is unlocked through the Into the Depths quest at step 10 and supports one to three players. The mission takes place in the Mesopelagic Twilight and Midnight depths of Titan's methane sea.

A distress call reaches the Tower, and Zavala briefs the fireteam before the dive. The objectives run in this order:

1. Open the underwater rig airlock, then catch up with Sloane.
2. Choose one of Ahsa's blessings.
3. Dive to the Old Sunken Arcology and plant an Egregore Resonator.
4. Refit the extractor's three power cells, then repair and reboot the extractor three times.
5. Defend the extractor until the area is cleared, then plant a second Egregore Resonator.
6. Defeat Kudazad, Bound to Xivu Arath. The Drowned Ogres douse the flames and shield Kudazad, and the shield only breaks when the flames return. Defeat the Drowned Ogres to restore the flames, then strike Kudazad while its shield is down. Kudazad is defeated twice, once in the early fight and again after the shield breaks.
7. Extract with the collected Egregore coral, then collect rewards from the Deep Chest.

Expect Hive and Taken enemies, including Festering Brutes and Wrathful Interlopers. A Hive spell can pull the Guardian away mid-mission, so watch for it during the extractor defence.
