Imperial Cabal

The Imperial Cabal is the Cabal faction ruled by Empress Caiatl, daughter of Emperor Calus. Caiatl was the Princess Imperial before taking the throne. After Xivu Arath invaded Torobatl, she ordered a retreat to the Sol system and gathered the remaining Cabal forces there. The faction first appears in the Destiny 2 story in Season of the Chosen, where a Rite of Proving against Ignovun ends in an armistice that bars the Cabal from setting foot on Earth.

After the Mars incident, Caiatl met with Commander Zavala and Saladin, which led to an official alliance between the Imperial Cabal and the Vanguard in Season of the Risen. As part of the Coalition, Cabal forces fought alongside Guardians against the Lucent Brood and the Shadow Legion, defending the Traveler, Neomuna and Neptune and helping reclaim Taken-infested areas on Earth.
