Ignovun, Chosen of Caiatl

Overview

Ignovun, Chosen of Caiatl is a Cabal Centurion and the champion of Empress Caiatl. He is the final boss of the Proving Grounds strike, a Rite of Proving aboard the Imperial Land Tank Halphas Electus. The Guardian's win sets the terms of an armistice between the Cabal and the Vanguard.

Fight

The fight starts when one player activates the Rite of Proving. Ignovun leaps onto a pedestal at the back of the arena and fires tracking firebombs. The firebombs deal heavy damage and can be shot down. He usually stays back firing a Cabal Bronto Cannon, then closes in with his jump pack.

He becomes immune at two-thirds and one-third health. Each immune phase is ended by destroying the orange dome shield generator. Rocket Launchers and Swords are recommended for high damage, and an SMG for shooting down the firebombs. Ignovun is not especially strong for a final boss, according to one guide.
