History of Hellas Basin

Hellas Basin is a frozen region of Mars introduced in the Warmind expansion.

Overview

Abandoned for centuries after the Collapse, the basin froze when Rasputin used the Siberian Entropy Protocol against the invading Hive, including the Worm God Xol. When the Traveler awoke the ice thawed, revealing a Golden Age facility that the NPC Tyra Karn suggests may be where the Warmind was born. Enemies: the Hive's Grasp of Nokris, the Cabal's Red Legion, and the Taken.

Getting there

Complete the Pilgrimage mission to unlock it. There are two landing zones: BrayTech Futurescape (a Golden Age exoscience hub) and Glacial Drift. Locations include Rasputin's Warmind core (Mindlab: Rasputin).

Status

Hellas Basin was vaulted when Beyond Light launched, so it is no longer playable. Later Mars content takes place in other regions; see Mars.
