History of Halfdan-D

Overview

Halfdan-D is a Legendary Auto Rifle from Häkke, dealing Kinetic damage in the kinetic slot. It uses the High-Impact Frame archetype and is a Banshee-44 (Gunsmith) reward weapon.

A slow (360 RPM), long-range auto rifle with a 33-round magazine, effectively a full-auto scout rifle that struggles against shotguns up close. Random rolls include Outlaw, Rampage, Kill Clip, High-Impact Reserves and Under Pressure. Flavor text: "Your name will ring out, your deeds will resound forever."

Acquisition

Earned as a reward from Gunsmith rank-up packages given by Banshee-44 in the Tower. Year 1 weapon re-implemented for Year 2; sources disagree on whether it first appeared at launch or in Forsaken. It is not craftable and has no Adept version. Rank comes from Banshee-44's daily bounties and from dismantling Legendary and Exotic gear.
