History of Gumshoe

Overview

Gumshoe is the seal and title for Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, earned by completing all nine Witch Queen triumphs. The expansion launched February 22, 2022 (Destinypedia). The activities involved are centred on Savathun's Throne World and the Witch Queen campaign, and the title is permanent: it is not seasonal and can still be earned. Most of it is soloable, but the Master difficulty campaign triumph and some collectibles benefit from a fireteam.

Triumphs

• Master of Truth - complete any campaign mission on Master difficulty.
• Buddy Up - claim all 14 rank rewards from Fynch by earning reputation.
• Hardware of the Throne - craft all nine Wellspring and Throne World weapons (farm the Wellspring for reputation and patterns).
• Report: REVERSE-LURE - complete the Evidence Board quest for the Exotic glaive.
• Of Queens And Worms - complete the exotic quest for the Parasite grenade launcher; this is required before No Peeking.
• Lepidopterist - collect and mount every unique Lucent Moth in the Throne World.
• No Peeking - destroy all ten Darkness Rifts in the Throne World using the Parasite damage buff.
• World Champions - defeat 50 Champions in Throne World Lost Sectors (Legendary difficulty is the quickest farm).
• Throne World Collector - the badge: obtain every new Throne World weapon, armour piece and cosmetic.

Tips and gilding

Neither Shacknews, TheGamer nor Game Rant describe a gilding triumph for this seal. Expect to spend several sessions; the longest parts are Fynch reputation, crafting patterns and the Parasite quest chain. Game Rant says to focus on getting the Parasite first, since it is needed for the Darkness Rifts, and notes the Wellspring on Master needs a six-player fireteam. Sources differ slightly on the exact item count of the Collector badge (TheGamer says 21), so check the in-game badge.
