Overview

'''Grandmaster: The Inverted Spire''' is a Triumph in Destiny 2. It is earned by completing The Inverted Spire Strike on Grandmaster difficulty, the Grandmaster Nightfall version of the strike, as the game data states for Season 12. It counts toward the Conqueror seal.

The Inverted Spire is a Red War strike on Nessus for one to three players, with Barrier and Unstoppable Champions and Vex and Cabal enemies. Its boss is Protheon, Modular Mind.

How to complete

  1. Queue the Inverted Spire Grandmaster Nightfall when it is active in the rotation.
  2. Bring Unstoppable mods for Scout Rifles or Glaives and Anti-Barrier mods for Sidearms or Pulse Rifles.
  3. Cross the Cistern by activating the marked conflux to raise floating platforms, then use the Vex cannons to reach the next platforms.
  4. On the Drill, have a teammate activate the terminal to realign the Cabal catapult while the others hold off the waves.
  5. In the boss room, defeat the Harpies to spawn Protheon.
  6. Phase 1: Protheon uses Void weapons. Stay in cover and shoot its head. When it reaches one third health the floor drops away.
  7. Phase 2: Protheon switches to Arc and smashes the ground. Use the pillars or jump at the right time, and avoid its Arc cannon, which can slow you.
  8. Phase 3: At about half health of the final third its head explodes. Shoot the torso, dealing with the Fanatics it summons first. Defeating Protheon opens the Vex chest with the rewards.

Tips

  • Phase 3 has little cover and relentless adds. Save Supers for it.
  • The Inverted Spire Grandmaster triumph is reported as Season 12 content. Sources are inconsistent on season labels for Grandmaster rotations, so use the in-game description as the reference.
