History of Glorious

Glorious is the Crucible seal. It replaced the older Unbroken title when Competitive Divisions arrived in Season of the Seraph (Season 19; TheGamer's guide and a Sportskeeda Season 19 note both say the Unbroken seal was retired then) and grants the Glorious title. Completing it also unlocks Seasonal gilding (see below).

Overview

• Activity: the Crucible, especially the Competitive 3v3 playlist.
• Title granted: Glorious.
• Version note: TheGamer's guide describes an older nine-triumph version (Forever Valorous, Prestigious, Division Promotion). The in-game record on this wiki now shows 12 triumphs and the Seasonal ones (Adept Guardian Spec, Climbing the Ladder) that reset each season, so treat the older guides as partly outdated.
• Time: the older guides say weeks or even months depending on skill. Platinum Division is the main gate.

Required triumphs

• Placement Series Matches: finish 7 Placement matches in Competitive.
• Division Debut: play 100 Competitive 3v3 matches (wins grant bonus progress).
• Get Those Reps: earn 200 points from objectives in Competitive 3v3.
• Climbing the Ladder: reach Platinum Division in a Season (TheGamer: Platinum rank is needed for the title in the older version).
• Adept Guardian Spec: reach Adept Division this Season.
• Decathlete: play 10 different gametypes.
• Gold Medalist: earn 3 Gold-tier Crucible medals.
• Powerlifter: earn 200 objective points in any Crucible playlist with an Arc or Void subclass.
• Sword Mastery: 100 Crucible final blows with a Sword.
• To the Victor: win 60 Crucible matches (Competitive counts for more).
• Undefeated: complete a match without being defeated.
• Watch Them Fall: defeat 350 Guardians.

Gilding

Finishing Glorious unlocks Seasonal gilding. Gilded titles show a gold border and a counter, and gilding resets each Season. The specific gilding triumphs are the Seasonal ones that change each Season (this wiki's record lists Climbing the Ladder and Adept Guardian Spec as Seasonal), so check the in-game record. I could not open Twinfinite (blocked), so the exact gilding list is unverified.

Tips

• Practise in Quickplay first, use meta weapons such as Pulse Rifles and Fusion Rifles, and queue with a fireteam (TheGamer).
• Stack Powerlifter, Decathlete and Sword Mastery in Quickplay and Control while waiting on Competitive.
• Cheese Forever has a video titled "Easy Glorious Title Without Platinum Division - No Competitive Or Placement Match"; I could not verify its method against the current seal, so check it in-game.
