Competitive Divisions

Competitive Divisions are the ranked tiers of the Crucible Competitive playlist. Players must play seven placement games in the Competitive Playlist before they receive a division, and their performance in those games sets the starting division.

Each division has three subdivisions, numbered III (lowest) to I (highest). Platinum III starts at 5,750 points, Platinum II at 6,250 and Platinum I at 6,750. Adept III starts at 7,250, Adept II at 7,750 and Adept I at 8,250. Each subdivision rank-up requires 500 points.

Weekly focus slots by division are Platinum 5, Adept 6 and Ascendant 7. Reaching max rank in Adept places a player into a Promotion Series, which they win by taking two of the next three games. A failed series starts a Relegation Series. As of Season 23, these series only affect movement to and from Adept and Ascendant.
