Expunge: Styx
A river of Vex code flows into a hub within the Nexus where an Oppressive Mind manages the flow of directives maintaining the Endless Night. Destroy this mind and its domain will collapse.
Overview
Expunge: Styx is the second Expunge mission from Season of the Splicer, launched from The Moon with a recommended Power of 1290 (1-3 Guardians). It is unlocked by Path of the Splicer IV (week 4, 1 June 2021), after Expunge: Labyrinth. A Corrupted variant followed; the set ends with Expunge: Tartarus and Expunge: Delphi.
Encounters and mechanics
- Collect three Authentication Keys from destroyed Vex diamonds. Each key has a short countdown (about 10 seconds); stand on the blue Datacube plates to refresh it.
- Deposit keys in sockets to remove the boss's shield.
- Boss: Dikast, the Oppressive Mind, a Vex Cyclops. Bring anti-Barrier weapons for Barrier Hobgoblins.
