History of Divalian Mists

Overview

Divalian Mists is the only landing zone in the Dreaming City and the gateway to its other regions, including The Strand and Rheasilvia. It sits on an elevated platform in the northwest of the map and is the sole spawn point for the whole destination. It was introduced in Forsaken.

Connections

The Spine of Keres lies northeast and leads to the Blind Well. The Strand is reached over eastern bridges and Rheasilvia through southern passages. The Tower of Opened Eyes and the Font of Starlight are also linked from the area.

Activities

The Lost Sector Bay of Drowned Wishes is directly behind the spawn point. Turn 180 degrees, follow the rocky path and descend into the flooded caverns. Public events include Taken Blight, where you destroy blights and defeat the Herald, and the Ether Ritual, where you stop Scorn from harvesting Ether. Weekly World Events include Scorn versus Taken clashes, Scorn versus Hive clashes, High-Value Targets and Invasion Blight. The hidden boss event "Double Trouble" is started by standing one Guardian in each of three stone circles near the Blind Well entrance once they glow, which summons Paradii, the Vigilant and Bakken, the Relentless.

Curse cycle

The Dreaming City cycles through a three-week Taken curse. Normally the Taken and Scorn fight for control of the area. In week two the Hive take the place of the Scorn, while the Taken remain, and Petra Venj appears only in that week. The page gives week numbers but no calendar dates for the cycle.

Vendor

Petra Venj offers bounties, quests and weekly rewards while she is here during week two of the curse. Corsair Badges can be redeemed with the Awoken Corsair in a cave near the Bay for rare gear.
