Descent into Dread

Overview

Descent into Dread is a triumph in Destiny 2. The objective is to find the secrets hidden throughout the Nether aboard the Dreadnaught.

How to complete

You can spot secrets with your Ghost. A Ghost icon in the top-right corner means a secret is close, or your Ghost will look toward it. Pull out your Ghost to reveal the hidden platforms that lead to secret chests.

The secrets by region:

1. Toland: a wispy orb moves through most regions. Approach it, follow it to where it spawns a secret chest.
2. Hidden platforms: scan with your Ghost to reveal invisible platforms, which lead to hidden chests.
3. Flaming plates: in most regions, light three plates to spawn a miniboss.
4. The Ravenous: only in the Hall of Souls. Shoot the Cursed Thrall while it eats Hive worms until it becomes a Knight, then kill it to open the chest.
5. Dark Transfer: only in the Mausoleum. Destroy the Shrieker in a dark room to open a portal, and sacrifice some health inside to unlock a chest.
6. Taken Orb Phalanxes: only in the Mausoleum. Shoot the four Taken Phalanxes stuck in the Blights to unlock a chest.
7. Wall symbols: only in the Founts. Shoot the three symbols from left to right to unlock a chest.
8. Ravenous Wormspawn: there are eight, and each can be collected once. They do not come back after you collect them.

The triumph requires Act 3 of Heresy, which releases later in the season.
