Dark Matter

Dark matter in the Destiny universe is exotic matter detectable only through gravity; it gave rise to the sentient entities called The Nine. In Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate it powers Kepler, where the House of Exile has developed technology to manipulate it; Guardians gain Dark Matter abilities such as Matterspark (an Arc ball form), Matterweave/Mattermorph and the Relocator (teleport), which open previously blocked areas. Dark matter is collected on Kepler as "Strangelets" from conduits around the altar site. The Drifter also used it to make counterfeit Taken.
