Critical Anomaly (triumph)

Overview

Critical Anomaly is a Legendary Stasis Sniper Rifle featured in Destiny 2: The Final Shape. It is acquired as random loot from the Repository and the final encounter in the Salvation's Edge Raid. According to Volume 3 of the Art of Destiny, this weapon was forged by the Traveler and is now defiled by Witness's corruption.

The Critical Anomaly (triumph) tracks the player's progress in unlocking the weapon's Pattern. The objective is to complete Deepsight Resonance extractions on this weapon. Completing these extractions unlocks the weapon's Pattern, allowing for future crafting. The triumph requires a total of 5 pattern progress steps.

How to complete

To complete the triumph, players must acquire the Critical Anomaly weapon. This weapon can be obtained as random loot from the Repository or as a drop from the final encounter in the Salvation's Edge Raid.

Once the weapon is in the player's inventory, they must apply Deepsight Resonance to it. The weapon must then be used to complete Extraction activities. Each completed extraction contributes to the Pattern progress. The player must complete this process a total of 5 times to fulfill the Critical Anomaly (triumph) objective.

The weapon's description reads: "Embrace the chaos, for you are entropy incarnate."
