Combat Protocol Override is a Research Instrument earned from the NES006 quest in Episode: Echoes, given by Failsafe. The specimen for the quest is an Assimilated Torch Hammer, a weapon wielded by Minotaurs.

Effect

The instrument detects the presence of high-value targets in Echoes Battlegrounds. Defeating those high-value targets grants bonus rewards.

Lore

Failsafe's report notes that Minotaurs use combat protocols to override Vex frames, and that high-value targets carry the most data. She plans to draw them out to fight, which she describes as risky but rewarding.
