Buzzard

Overview

The Buzzard is a Legendary Sidearm that deals Kinetic damage. Its description reads: “Circle 'round, great harbinger of death.”

Perks

The original Season of Dawn version had fixed perks: Adaptive Frame, Extended Barrel and Alloy Magazine. The first trait slot offered a choice of Outlaw, which greatly decreases reload time after precision kills, or Fourth Time's the Charm, which returns two rounds to the magazine after rapidly landing precision hits. The second slot offered Osmosis, which changes the damage type to match the user's Light-based subclass after a grenade ability, or Swashbuckler.

The current Nightfall version rolls random perks, including Encore, Pulse Monitor, Perpetual Motion, Overflow, Frenzy, Multikill Clip, Rangefinder, Kinetic Tremors and Swashbuckler. Perk pools differ between the two releases.

Acquisition

The Buzzard was originally a ritual weapon given by Commander Zavala during Season of Dawn. It returned to the Nightfall loot pool with random rolls, dated to Season 20 by one reference and Season 21 by another. Grandmaster Nightfalls on the right week grant the Adept version. Once unlocked in Collections, Zavala sells extra copies through Focused Decoding. The item cannot be reacquired from Collections.
