History of Bottomless Pit

Overview

Bottomless Pit is the Exotic quest for Necrochasm, an auto rifle, from Shadowkeep-era Crota's End. On pickup you receive a basic Common weapon, Husk of the Pit. The quest is tied to the Crota's End raid, so expect a few hours plus several raid clears.

Walkthrough

1. Defeat 100 Hive with Husk of the Pit. Final blows inside Crota's End count extra; the Altars of Sorrow on the Moon is an easier alternative with endless Hive.
2. Collect 20 Essence of the Oversoul. It counts retroactively; your first weekly full clear gives two and later clears one each, and raid triumphs give up to 14.
3. Return to the Hellmouth and defeat Crota, then claim Necrochasm from the vendor at the end of the raid.
