Ascendant Portal

The '''Ascendant Portal''' is the Hive portal that the Hive Wizards open to carry out a ritual in the Witches' Ritual public event. Guardians must stop the Wizards before the ritual completes.

Overview

The Wizards are protected by immunity shields that Guardians strip by standing on plates after freeing the Knights that guard them. Once both Wizards are killed, the portal opens and begins releasing Thralls and other Hive enemies. The Envoy of Savathûn arrives through it as an objective in some versions of the event.

Heroic version

In the Heroic version, destroying the two Hive Crystals starts the sequence in which a giant Ultra enemy also emerges from the portal with reinforcements. Defeating it completes the event.
