History of Ascendant Plane

Overview

The Ascendant Plane (also Ascendant Realm) is an extradimensional space connected to the Darkness: an infinite expanse of blackness filled with thick fog, where existence is shaped by will rather than physical law. It runs on the Sword Logic. Powerful beings, particularly the Hive, create personal pocket universes called Throne Worlds inside it as refuges for their consciousness.

In the Dreaming City

In The Dreaming City Guardians can glimpse the plane using a Tincture of Queensfoil, which reveals hidden platforms, chests and the portals to the weekly Ascendant Challenges, where you fight Taken enemies.
