History of Anarchy

Anarchy is an Exotic Arc Grenade Launcher in the heavy ammo slot. It fires grenades that stick to surfaces and chain Arc bolts between each other, making it an area-denial and boss damage weapon.

Overview

• Archetype: heavy Grenade Launcher (150 RPM, 6-round magazine).
• Intrinsic perk, Arc Traps: grenades adhere to walls, floors and enemies and link to nearby Anarchy grenades with Arc bolts, dealing damage over time to anything caught in the web. Place several close together so they link. Tougher enemies must stay inside the web to take full damage.

Acquisition

• Original source: a low-chance drop from the chest after the final boss of the Scourge of the Past raid, once per character per week. The raid is no longer available, so this route is historical.
• Monument to Lost Lights: now available from the Exotic Archive at the Tower as a Forsaken Exotic. One listing gives the cost as 1 Exotic Cipher, 150,000 Glimmer and 2 Ascendant Shards; costs have changed over time.

Catalyst

The catalyst, added with the Monument of Triumph final update in June 2026, adds Jolting Feedback: repeated damage applies Jolt, and Jolt applies faster while Amplified is active. It can be earned by completing Vanguard Ops, Crucible or Gambit activities (Solo Ops count), by completing an Exotic Order, or as a low-chance drop from the final boss of the Insurrection Prime Pantheon.
