History of Acceleron: Spoil

Overview

Acceleron: Spoil is a story encounter on Kepler added with The Edge of Fate. Investigate the potentially contaminated Ether and uncover the Acceleron maintaining the dark matter-infused Ether stores.

It is launched from the matching Strangelet quest step in the Kepler campaign (no separate power-level requirement was confirmed by the sources used; scale to the Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate campaign). Using the Acceleron afterwards opens the next mission in the chain.

Launching

Complete the quest "Transient" and speak with Lodi at Augur's Bethel; this unlocks Acceleron: Spoil and the quest "Saturnism" (The Base Dotaku).

Encounters

1. Collect the Relocator cannon near Lodi and shoot the portal plate past the laser barrier.
2. Fight through enemies; defeat an elite to get an Ether Charge and throw it at the tube structure to drop a barrier.
3. Use Matterspark form to crawl through the tunnel and exit through the floor opening.
4. Unlock the door at the console after a second Relocator cannon, defeat the spawns, and teleport through the broken window.
5. Kill the elites in the locked room for more Ether Charges and destroy the canisters.
6. Defeat the boss that spawns outside and open the chest.

Rewards

The Acceleron: Spoil item, step six of The Exile's Accord Strangelet quest; it unlocks the mission "Saturnism".
