History of Abyss Defiant

Overview

Abyss Defiant is a Legendary Solar Auto Rifle with a 360 RPM frame, the high-impact option of the raid's weapon pool. The PvE roll TheGamer recommends is Extended Barrel, Ricochet Rounds, Subsistence and Incandescent, since Incandescent can trigger Cursed Thrall explosions, and Destructoid notes Heal Clip with Incandescent as well. The 360 RPM archetype limits it in PvP.

Acquisition

Drops from the Crota's End raid. Sources disagree on exactly which encounter drops which weapon, so check the current loot table in game. Raid weapons are craftable once you have unlocked the pattern from Deepsight copies (about five), per Grindout and The Game Post. Master difficulty also awards Adept versions. All of the raid's weapons carry the Cursed Thrall origin trait: after a melee kill, final blows with the weapon make targets explode for a short time.
