Aarthi

Overview

Aarthi is a villager from the settlement at the base of the mountain that Felwinter takes over from Castor. She appears in the lore book The Liar, which tells the story of Felwinter's time on the mountain.

Story

After Felwinter shoots Castor's Ghost and pushes Castor off the mountain, Aarthi waits for him on a rock ledge halfway down, carrying crops and ammunition. She treats the gifts as payment for protection, since Felwinter has replaced Castor. He refuses the food and insists he is not a Warlord.

She returns each month. Her second delivery is two ammunition crates, which Felwinter accepts. Her third is salvaged weapon parts. She tells him that people call him "Lord Felwinter" and that he has killed more Warlords than Castor. Their talks move from village life to the time before the Collapse and the future. By the seventh meeting she asks him to share his knowledge of Golden Age technology so her village can live differently. He refuses.

Aarthi confronts him, comparing him to the Warlords who trampled the village's crops, then softens and says it must be nice not to have to worry. She does not return the following month or the month after. The story then turns to Felwinter's search for SIVA and his alliance with the Iron Lords.
