History of A Good Match

Overview

A Good Match is the Exotic catalyst quest for the Auto Rifle Tommy's Matchbook. After you own the weapon (from the season pass reward track), Banshee-44 in the Tower gives you the quest. It is a grind of several sessions rather than a single sitting.

Walkthrough

1. Speak to Banshee-44 in the Tower to learn about the catalyst.
2. Complete three objectives in any order: earn points (completing Ops activities; Crucible wins give extra), rapidly defeat targets with Auto Rifles for multikills, and defeat Guardians while using Auto Rifles. The in-game step lists 100 points, 200 Auto Rifle multikills and 100 Auto Rifle Guardian defeats.
3. Return to Banshee-44 to receive the catalyst.

Tips: PvP (Crucible, Gambit) is the quickest source of points and Guardian defeats; higher-difficulty content like Nightfall strikes is better for multikills.

Older guides cite different point targets (200 or 400); follow the in-game objective.

Rewards

• Tommy's Matchbook catalyst, which adds the Heat of the Moment perk (more health recovery while Ignition Trigger is active). The perk requires a further 700 kills with the weapon to unlock.

Trivia

• Bungie's Known Issues once listed the Banshee quest as temporarily unavailable, and forum threads reported it bugged or missing.
