History of Wrathful

Overview

Wrathful is a buff gained in the Savek hunt. It lets players damage the immunity shield that Savek spawns with, and it adds extra damage against him. Players gain it by standing in the green pools that a Wrathborn Servitor leaves behind when it is killed.

Mechanics

Savek's Servitors keep his shield up, so killing one leaves a pool to stand in. Sources disagree on how long the buff lasts after leaving a pool: Destinypedia says four seconds, while the Wrathborn Hunts page says five seconds (Season of the Hunt). Pools disappear after a while, so the cycle repeats by killing another Servitor.

Starting the hunt

The hunt begins with a charged Cryptolith Lure from the Crow on the Moon, after completing Trail of the Hunted. The lure is charged through Strikes, Crucible and Gambit.
